Unique Paint wanted!

If you know what black cherry paint looks like then you can probably help me out. Black cherry looks black until the light hits it right and you can see red and what i am looking to do is do the same thing except with blue or grey instead of red. Does anyone know if this is possible?

give me all the info you can thanks

I believe I know of one such color called "midnight blue" made by PPG. It is black until the sun (or headlights) hit it, then you can see a dark navy blue... truly a great color. A friend used to have his 68 rs/ss painted with that until he 'ruined it' by painting it yellow with black stripes. Good luck on your search, I still havn't decided what color I'd like to paint my car. I've been thinking about copperhead - the same color as 'project copperhead' on the tv show called "Trucks!" with Stacy as a host... its a 3 layer paint

Tri coat paints are not cheap...and better left for those who know how to spray paint. Last tri coat I painted took approx 5 hours of spraying.

My next project is gonna be BLACK.....the darkest black known to man. I want it soooooo dark that it disappears when the sun goes down......

Thanks for the heads up crazyn8.., I know it is a long process. I intend to do all the body and finishing work and leave the spraying to a pro. One of my neighbours has 20+ years experience and a shop that dwarf's his house just a rock's throw away from my house... he'll be doing the actual application.
