This may sound like a read neck quote but it worked for me. Duck Tape, it held until I could get a good Plastic Headliner from Hawks. I sprayed 3M Adhesive on the same corners you're talking about, let sit until tacky, then applied the duck tape.

Doesn't sound too bad, when I first started and had no money, I glued popcycle (sp?) sticks on the inside, near any weak points or sagging pieces. That lasted for several years until I couldn't stand it anymore, and bought a ABS one off eBay.

The right way to do it is to get some fiberglass strips and some fiberglass resin. This stuff is available at any auto parts stores and even Wal Mart. Put some resin over the headliner, and then lay resin soaked fiberglass strips in the area. It'll be as hard as a rock when it dries.

A half assed way to do it that actually works suprisingly well is to buy some burlap, and spray the hell out of it with 3M spray adhesive until it's wet. Lay it into place and wait for it to dry.
