Not much too it. Take out your old, put in the 4thgen cosole. The two bolts in the in storage box will line up with the old holes. Then youll see you have a space to fill since the 3rdgen camaro console went higher and included the HVAC and radio where the 4thgen didn't. See pic 4thgen console ends where the red line is. SO you will have to cut off that part (circled in blue)of your old console and attach to the dash somehow. Thats really all ther eis to it.

What about people who have used the 3rd gen firebird pod? How is it attatched to the dash? So, your saying it just bolts in? Others have said it does not.

after cutting, drilling finishing and fitting..... yea, bolts are what hold it in.

the radio pod is part of the console.

its not on the 4thgen.

you have to cut up your stock console.

how well the swap goes, is dependant on how well you cut and fit the console radio area.

this is why there arnt alot of pics that show where they meet... most of the guys are not happy with the way the two come together.

that'd be the key, hook a firebird pod up to the old 3rd gen dash, then use the 4th gne console to the firebird pod. It'll look the way it does in a firebird, and nearly like a 4th gen...nearly.
