ignition froze

Same thing happen to me, I got in hurry shutting off car, and I shut it off, with transmission in gear, I think in reverse.

Now my steering column is froze up, and the igntion cylinder is also stuck.

My shifter always has had the button stuck in, so you can shift,
without pressing it in, so I don't think that the shifter button is related to the frozen ignition problem.

Did you try jaring the steering wheel around?
Sometimes the wheel being turned odd can do that
I cant imagine that having any effect on the shifter though
will it down shift with out the button being pressed?
(You know you can up shift with out pushing it.)

Just a few fill in the blank questions

ignition froze

I just got mine fixed, I pushed the ignition cylinder in towards the
steering column, and then it turned, and came loose.
