I was wondering if there was a way to tell where the exact locations for reapplying decals after a paint job should be??? Is there a reference manual out there somewhere? Some dimensions somewhere? Or do you just have to look at pics of other cars or try to remember as best you can.

I know its not that big a deal if its off a bit, but if someone were going to restore a car...where would they go?

not sure for exact dimensions, you could probably put them where-ever you want and no one would ever make a big deal of it, as long as you're not putting them litterally all over the place, in locations that look no where near stock. IF you can find pictures of someones car that's the same make and year as yours, you could then take that picture and divide up the length of the vehicle, then make marks - reference points all the way down the vehicle telling you how far back each location is, then apply the same information to your car....that's how we do stuff with our airplanes and a datum line, but we normally have the reference and don't have to amke it, but a reference point from another vehicle, and dimensions should be all you need, both of whcih you have access to on the boards.
