4th Gen Dash HVAC Controls...

Hey everyone,
I want to do the 93+ firebird dash swap. I have searched & searched but I haven't seen any solution about the different style HVAC controls. I want to keep my A/C & Heat working. I know I have to use flexible ducting to make the vents work, but how about the controls? I think the fan speed is controled by a cable? How do I get around this snag. Do I use a blower motor from a 4th gen?

Thanks in Advance,
Mark B

First of all you don't need flexible ducting. Modify the 4th gen airbox input to look like the 3rd gen's.

Fan speed is controlled electronically. In fact, the harness for this part of the HVAC is identical between 3rd and 4th gens. No modifying is needed.

The cable you're thinking of opens and closes the door for hot/cold. I have heard a cable from an s10 works perfect for this swap.

Wow, back from the dead.

Sorry for the misinformation from that old post. The person who used an S10 cable was using Corsica controls.
