firebird/trans owners!

i was wondering how u even out the lights on our cars, do u just turn the ***** untill its where u want them? and i was wondering when i drive it up 2 a wall when its dark to even em out, how high should the light be? and how far from the wall? sorry...i havent done this before, everyone flashes thier lights at me at night so..i know theyre high right now,lol

I think there is a procedure in the service manual to dial the headlights in. There may even be a procedure in a haynes book. If you don't have access to either one, most inspection places have a machine that tests the direction of your headlights and some will do it for you when you get a tune up.

I just park on a dark road thats fairly flat,,,and adjust them to get the maximum light brightness and spread down the road.

The only problem is that you have to make sure that you spread is pointed down and away from oncoming traffic. You can get ticketed if you don't.

Kind of crappy pic but all i had. With the headlights up there should be 2 little openings. In that black plastic filler. The to adjusters are there. The top one is your up and down. the side one is your left and right. If your lights are pointing to the sky the spring might have came off.U have to put that back on first before u can adjust them.

I took mine to a local Chevy dealer and they charged $20. They are perfect now. I've always done that though....it's one of my biggest peeves when people have theirs aimed all over the place.
