gauge cover rattles

Howdy,

Does anyone have a problem with the plexiglass covering the gauges rattling against the plastic trim? The space between the plexiglass and the plastic trim is uneven and some parts come awfully close. Driving down a road, it vibrates and makes an annoying sound. I can "shim" it with some cloth in a corner, but that looks ugly. Is there a better fix that someone has done?

Thanks much.

Maybe theres some loose screws that just need to be tightened?

Things seem pretty tight so I don't think it's a loose screw. I had the dash pad off a while ago doing my heater core and took a look. All is tight there.

Silicone what? I don't want to put anything on the plexiglass, but I'm not sure if there's some adjustment mechanism. I suppose I could put some weatherstripping on the back of the trim to snug it against the plexiglass and muffle it.

The weatherstripping idea is kind of what he means. Put silicone on the backs of each of the "feet" that are held in by screws and anywhere else where something might rattle against it. It won't be on any visible part of the glass.
