91-91 gauge swap to older style

Can I replace my 91-92 style gauge cluster with an older one? I've got an interesting idea I'd like to try, but the gauges need to be circular for it to look right. The back of the 91 cluster has those two little tabs with connectors on it, so does anyone know if I can pull a cluster from a Camaro from 90 or older and those connectors will line up correctly and all of the gauges will work?

Maybe a better way to ask this is, is it possible to swap from the older, circle style gauge cluster to the 91-92 style?
