thats pretty nice, what did you do , cut the piece in between the two gauges and then use black plexi, do you have an undershot so i can see what you did about making the cut part not look like its been cut.

Just widened the 2 left ones for the gauges to fit, then connected the right ones to make one opening. Tinted plexi, with the back side painted black.

I'm looking to do this, and any information you have on wiring up new guages would be very helpful. Nothing like having all working guages and the green circuit sheet on the back having a short

I don't believe I had to cut anything additonally. I did this like 6-7 years ago so I don't remember.
Wiring sucked. GM gives you almost no slack. I pretty much just used the wiring diagrahm from a Chiltons book and went wire by wire. It's not so much difficult as it is time consuming.
If you have a mechanical speed you'll need a new cable as well. You need it to be a couple inches longer, and it needs a different end on it. GM's push in and you need one that screws on for the Autometer gauge.

for the speedo, did you use a cable or tap the autometer into the factory signal? Do you have a PN for the cable? This is the only problem I foresee with the project since I'll be using all of the senders that come with the autometers and totally get rid of all the factory stuff.

Here's a panel we made for my dad's 82 firebird.
Dont mind the mis matched gauges. We used what we had laying around.
The only stock wire we used was the pink fuel level sender wire. The rest we ran our selfs.
