91 Firebird Front Headlight.

So I know I need a new headlight assembly, bulb, or bezel. The question is which.

My car got hit in the front driver side - and to maintain legality last year I quick fixed it with some crappy parts. This year I'd like to return it to "nice" and safely driveable condition, especially at night on the country roads by my house.

With that out of the way -
I have a perfectly working assembly (junkyard) with a transplanted motor (from my car) but the rest of the assembly is from an older trans am. This leaves me with a much bigger sealed beam, aimed horribly incorrectly (2 feet infront of the car on the raod), ill-fitting, etc...

I was looking at Hawks site and I see I can just buy a bezel for like $16. Could I just do this and swap this part, or is there some other physical difference? I'd look myself but the other assembly was smashed... I literally pulled the motor off the assembly by accident.

2nd question - I hate mismatched headlights - not that I could see mine while driving, but I'd like an upgrade anyway. Not HID or anything yet - but bright. Any suggestions?

Lastly - I haven't posted on these boards b4, but have been lurking for a year or two, you guys/gals are amazing, ALL my problems, (well, not too many in the 20000 miles I've owned the car) have been solved by reading other posts/responses and the FAQ's. Just wanted to say Thanks.

Sylvania Silverstars are great upgrades for visibility. Much brighter, whiter light instead of the crappy yellowish.

Not sure how long they last though..both of my low-beams went out the same day a few days ago. However since they both went out, it was probably a short circuit or something. The bulbs are only 6months old. Called up Sylvania and they'll send me replacements though

I replaced my '83 headlights for '91's. You'll need the whole assembly because the smaller 91 headlight and the larger (earlier model) headlight mount to bracketry that isn't in the exact same place on both units. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you very much. Was hoping for the cheap fix, but at least I know it won't work.
