Drivers mirror glass vibrates

Is there a repair to stop the drivers side mirror from shaking/vibrating? Thanks

Several years ago, my driver's side mirror vibrated enough to drive me crazy. I eventually discovered that the glass itself wasn't loose but that the entire housing was. Should that be the case with yours, the fix is simple enough to complete yourself: Remove the door panel, locate the two bolts (10 mm if I remember correctly), and tighten.

No, just the drivers side.

Do you have an electric mirror?

I have had this problem on other GMs I have had a power mirror on.

Mid America Motorworks (Corvette place) offers a piece to remedy this. It is a crosspiece that you snap in behind the glass.

Hope this helps.

Edit: I just read that you have a power mirror

Thanks for the info, yes they are electric. I have had this problem on another car along time ago, it was under warranty and they replaced the mirror. I will try this for sure.

Re: Drivers mirror glass vibrates

Anyone have a more recent solve for this? The link above to the corvette parts site is dead.

My power drivers window vibrates quite a bit. Not the body of the mirror but the glass bounces around enough to bother me. Not sure if there's a spacer or other kind of dampener that's made? I suspect this is a common problem after 40 years of the door getting slammed.
