I did a search and didn't come up with anything...
Is there an article anywhere about installing 4th gen power seats? I'm looking for some info about the wiring.
Thanks!

I heard it was just one power wire. Could be way off, but if it is just one wire, then its fairly basic.
We were hoping I'd just have to run a power wire, and one ground wire... if it's that... it'd be easy. I don't want to purchase these seats if it's more complicated than that however.

I can't say for the 4th gen seats for sure; but I know on the 3rd gen power seats they only need a power and ground. I would highly assume the 4th gen ones would be the same way. I'm not sure what other wires would be needed.

I just put power 4th gen seats in my car that had manual seats in it before. I got lucky though, because underneath the carpet was the factory power connector for the seats. All I had to do was cut off the third gen connector and splice in the connector from the fourth gen seats. On the chance that you dont have the factory lines down there, all you need is a power wire. You can run the ground right to the seat mounting bolt.
Sweet... thanks for the answers guys!

when you get teh seats make sure that they come with the seat harness to cnnect teh 2 seats together, because it is a horrible time finding that if you dont get it with the seats, and once you have that you only need a power and a ground to make the seats work.
Are they not able to be wired seperate? Or does this harness plug into the seat itself??

I just ran some wire from the cig. lighter under the carpet to the seat and spliced the wires together.

Here's a link to a post I made a while ago.
My pics aren't working, but I will see if I can get them working in a few minutes. Or at least I will fix them when I get home.

Ok, it looks like there is something wrong w/ the database and I can't edit my post. However the pics that I did post weren't all that important. The information that is posted there should help you quite a bit though.
