I know this was an option on 82 thru like 87 or whatever but I want to install one in my 92. What will need to also be changed if anything in terms of the surrounding plastic in the rear? Also I have an electric hatch pull down motor, does the piece of plastic that surrounds that need to be replaced?

isn't there a tech article on the install?
If not--you'll have to change the rear cargo interior plastic. Has a specific lip for the hatch to rest on-and make sure you get one from a car that had a power hatch motor--they're different.
