Color Sand or machine polish

Recently painted a car basecoat clearcoat. Started topcoat sanding it with 1500 sandpaper. Then finished with polishing compound by hand. Looks good but is a very slow process. Is it posible to obtain the same results machine polishing? If so what is a good procedure? Thanks

MAn your arm must be ready to fall off. Get a buffer Get some 3m buffing compound with a wool pad. Than go over that with the 3m glaze with a foam pad. The 1500 is good
