Just as the topic says. I know tirdgen doors weigh a ton. But there's no way I could go to a manual crank style. Is there any alternative?

have you ever looked inside the door? Theres a steel bar that runs the entire length of the door. I was thinking about cutting it out and welding in a lighter alternative like chromoly or something. But that's only is that's truly where most of the weight is. I might see if a local yard has one thats smashed and see about taking that bar out. see how much it lightens it up. no i wouldnt drive with it without the bar. That's the majority of the side impact absorbtion. Cause it's like a 1in diameter or more..

If you do some searches you'll find a few topics about the removal of the door bar after a roll bar has been added.
