Let me show off my skills

so in class for the past few weeks we have been working on our fenders. Here is the procedure I did.

1. scuff raw metal fender
2. prime the fender
3. wetsand the primer (500 then 600 grit)
4. mixed a color of our choice
5. sealed the primed fender
6. painted the fender (3 coats base, 3 coats clear)
7. DAMAGED THE FENDER! Our teacher keyed them
8. spot repaired the damaged area and sanded 1000 grit the rest
9. spot primed the damaged area, and sealed
10. mixed up more paint to match
11. painted the damaged area, blended with 3 coats
12. cleared the whole thing (I did 3 coats)
13. color sand and buffed the whole thing (1000, 1500, rubbing compund, then glaze)

finished product:

oh, the fender is to a F-150 I believe. It's from a Ford, I know that.

the color did not cover for sh*t... I should have went an extra coat on my repair. You can't see it with fluorescent lights, nor incandescent ones... You can BARELY see it in the sunlight, but you can totally see it in the camera's flash

I'm light on the trigger I guess.

Oooooo got any more specs on that shade of green? Reminds me of Bowling Green metallic from the C5 Vettes. Oh, and I'll have a shot of Yeger from up top there too hehehe

it's a 90s green metallic from GM, so potentially!

All I can remember is PPG code 204a

In his defense, this is pretty generalized information. The fact that the fender was from a Ford is irrelevant since he's just telling everyone how to paint fenders (and pretty much the rest of the body). Think of the Ford fender as a "if a Ford can look this good, imagine what you can do with your F-Body"
