Car painting
Heya guys. Have decided to paint my car. in 89, chevy only had two different stock red colors...right? flame red and bright red i think....i can't read the paint code on my car, is to faded lol....but i am pretty sure it's flame red since it's a quite dark red. Where can i buy some of these paints. And what tips do you guys have for me and a buddy, as we are gonna paint it ourselves....and tips would be greatly appriciated....

Look in your RPO codes you should see a Number then a U at like the very bottom.
That is your paint code.

How important is it for me to use a "clean room"? i'm not meanin like not vacuming all the dust and such out of the garage, cause i will deep clean it before i decide to paint the car...but how important is it to have a room that has all the filters and such set up in it? and any opinions on what the best primer, then mix for paint and such..how many coats of each should go on (for a really good paint job that is) then clear coat etc....and anyone know where a good place to buy all the primers, base coats and clear coats at?

Find a local paint supply store. Talk to them. Tell them what you want to do, and let them set you up. If they're open on a Saturday go then, cause they likely won't be as busy as they would be M-F.
Doing all the prep work, Sanding, removing dents, body filler, etc.. is the hard part. Actually spraying the car is easy.
