aftermarket seat brackets

I can't believe no one makes one that doesn't set you up 2 inches like the corbeau brackets. I've seen dozens of posts about people making their own etc. You'd think Hawks or someone would make them out of factory brackets and sell. Are they available somewhere or am I stuck trying to fab 'em up?

why make one? there aren't enough people that buy them and then you'd have to make it universal. the mounting areas for corbeau, recaro and sparco for instance are completely different. the companies who do make them need to do more R&D and make them right, that's what needs to happen

*nod* it's true. I guess there's not a huge market for this stuff... even though in our little thirdgen mod-crazy world, it seems like everyone wants seats.

Yeah, seats was definatly one of the first things I was after for my car, and luckly got a good deal on the as well. Full forth gen set perfect condition for $150, but would like to get 2 four point harness seats in the front at some point, just not until i have the motor for them! lol

Just make your own..

You'll save alot of money, that can be spent on other needed parts.

There's no way in this world I would have bought seat brackets. It's too easy to make. Some 1/8" to 1/4" thick flat stock 4 pc. about 3-4" long for each seat. A hand full of bolts, taps, and washers ($15 or less for both seats) and thats if you have to buy the flat stock steel

There is a company that makes them. Someone posted a link to their site on this board before. You give them your car model and seat model, and they will make them as tall or short as you want. I can't find the ompany, though.
