What is the fastest drying, best quality automotive paint?
Im looking for automotive paint that dries fast and is really tough and great looking. I have to get all my primer and basecoat done in one weekend at the shop and then have to get my clear done the next weekend so i need stuff that dries fast and looks great. Money really isnt too much of an issue as i have like 700 dollars to spend on my primer paint and clear.

Well it seems your going to have a few difficultie with your plan, but a few things will work in your favor.
As far as primer goes most any primer will be dry enough to sand within 4 hours so you could drive it home at night if you painted in the morning ive actually driven my car to work 4 hours after i primed it once, BUT! youll have to your bas/clear on the same day as if you let your base set for more than 24 hours you have to wetsand it and re base it casue the base loses its adhesion qualities. you can lay your base down in less than an hours and another 30-40 mins youll have the clear down, then just let the clear sit for AT LEAST 24 hours and you can take her home but be carefule as it will still be somewhent delicate and would chip by a stone or anything easier
if you have anymore ?s feel free to pm me

well i work at a huge metal finishing company and can prime my car one weekend and then prime and clear the next? There is a garage full of all the other guys cars that work there that i can store that is about 10 feet away from the liquid coating shop. I am basically a beginner to liquid coating. I am a very good powdercoater and have a drive to learn this. Any good books out there about painting?
