Wieght Reduction (Doors)

I have noticed the Doors of 3rd genCamaros are really heavy...is there a way to reduce the wieght?

my door are really heavy and I need to use more muscle to close and open the doors.

not much you can do really. you can swap to non power mirrors, doorlocks, and windows but youre only going to save 10lbs total including the wiring.
you can get lexan windows but im not sure how much lighter they are, they prob arent as good as stock windows.
you could cut the crash bars out of them but if you were to get side swipped, broad sided, t boned, etc youd be in a world of hurt.

The rear hatch glass is extremely heavy, that's a great place to save weight without sacrificing safety.

Another thing to try to find is early thirdgen doors (82-84) they were lighter. in 90 (like my car) the crash reinforcment got thicker and heavier. my 84's doors were light compared to my Formula (i once had them side by side and opened both together)
i swapped my Formula's doors over to manual locks/windows/mirrors and really didn't notice a large differance, but at least being manual they are more reliable than power
