if your gonna go with a rattle can what one should you use? i wanna throw a nice coat of primer black on my 91 rs because right now it lookes horrible with a white hood and a seanded front bumper, i may wanna get a nice glossy black paint job around summer time, what do you reccommend i should use? also is there any rattle can primer that is capable of being painted over and looking decent?

plasti-cote. It's "apply direct to metal" self etching, and sandable. It's been remarkably weatherproof compared to some of the other primers i've rattlecanned.. Not sure about adhesion over it yet...It's most likely ok to paint over, not a show car or anything...
but probably best to remove and repaint with a gun later...
