Tach/speedo electric or mechanical?

Well im replacing my tach with a autometer 5" in dash Carbon Fiber tach, and was wondering if it was electric or mechanical?

your running a lt1 in your ride. who installed it. you ust be running a vss. i dont know if its mech or electric but i do belive that you have to use a vss for the computer .

well i dont have the LT1 in yet, i need a new 5 spd trans before i can put it in, right now its just in its stock setup, and im putting the LT1 in myself, well actually now its a LT4

Your stock speedo is mechanical, all stock tachs are electrical.
