Removing Factory Decals to Prep For Paint
What is the best method to remove the factory decals from the nose of our Z-28.
We're a little afraid of sanding too much and screwing up the nose. Also the paper gets clogged with goo in a matter of seconds.
Is there a preferred chemical that will remove the decal (and the goooo) without damaging the nose under them?
Respectfully,
Kurt & Derek

if all thats left is the goo, try goo gone or acetate. both will cut the acetate would be quickest.
if the plastic part is still there use a hair dryer and a razor and carefullly raise the end of the decal and heat and pull slowly you may get most off in one shot.
