Ah, the killer rule-of-3. You'll have to click on this link to my CarDomain page to see all the other pics.
The paint came out really nice and the bodywork looks stellar. Serious kudos to Jay for doing great work

I hope so still have alot of wet sanding and buffing to do... I can not wait till i get a booth. So i can turn out some clean paint jobs.

I might kill in the "uncompleted project" dept. I'm going to be up some late nights getting the thing put back together in 3 weeks.

i have mine together but need to take it apart for paint. guess we're working exactly backwards and together we have one complete car with paint that runs. woo hoo.

he did not so much use the wrong primmer.. But lacquer primmer.. with no etching primmer under it.. Alot of times
lacquer will shrink up. u will end up see sanding marks.2 part primmers dry faster and don't shrink up. But cost more.

I just went though the car domain and man, that looked like there was ALOT of time put into it. That blue really does look great.
Jay-what did you do to get rid of the radio antenna hole? Is it really labor intensive?

Dk Cloisonne Met. Is the name of the color. Its 94 to 96(i think) chevy vettes. the dupont code is 128A.. Thats all they should need.. They can cross reference that number for any brand paint.

hey kev,
i saw the car tonight while i was dropping off body parts to jay for him painting my camaro. gotta say that the car looks absolutely AMAZING. i really commend jay for his work and paint skills. that thing is gonna kill at thirdgenfest. good luck and get wrenching on it, you have a lot of work ahead of ya. as for me it's off to aruba for a week then back to wrenching on mine and flat bed'ing it over to jay's as well. good luck and it looks great once again.

Thanks everyone. 86iroclamarque: the door handles are off a '99 Grand Prix, but GM has used them on most of their cars since about '97. The problem is that junkyards don't want you to cut up a nice door to get the handle section so you either gotta find wrecked doors or pay the money for nice ones and cut them up. The cost is whatever your local yard charges. I've got $110 in my handles and metal door sections.
xpndbl3: I'm going over there in a couple hours so I'll finally get to see it in clear and buffed out. My Summit order came yesterday so I've got everything (except the time) to put it back together. You were wrong about one thing. It can't look great "once again" because it's never even looked good the whole time I've had it.
