Car: 1991 Trans-Am
Engine: 350 TPI (SLP mods from factory)
Transmission: 700 R4 (built with 2500 stall)
Axle/Gears: 3.23 Disc Posi
Clear Coat
If the clearcoat is peeling off the car. do I have to sand it completely down and repaint whole car? or can I just use some kind of remover and remove the clearcoat, leaving the paint?

clear coat remover on paint 
what would stop it from taking the paint with it?
i would sand with 600 grit and reclear the car it will buy you a little time before a complete paint job. but you will need a complete job soon.
