Why does this 92 Z28 have a 110 MPH speedo?

I thought all Z28's in '92 had a 145 speedo. Did the 'verts come with a 110?

I have a 305 TPI and a 145 mph cluster....

My guess would be a different cluster for lower miles, or maybe its really an RS

Sorry,I should have elaborated more on what I previously said.If a 305 car had the rpo G92 code it got the 145mph speedo. I'm not that sure that Z28 convertibles could get that rpo code though.

could have been swapped in. ???

The ones I looked at when they were NEW had 110's (yes I am old). I thought it was odd that the Z28 coupe had a 145 speedo but the vert had a 110. One of the factors was that with the Z28 vert w/ 305 TPI came with the 235/55/16 tires and flat top rims as standard fare. These tires were rated at 112mph. (The RS w/ L03 could get same tires/ wheels as an option). Could also do with G92 wasn't available for verts. I still can't remember seeing a vert with a 145 speedo.

When I bought a 92 RS new in Nov 1991, there was a beautiful Z28 vert sitting there with 5 speed, tan leather interior and tan top. It was absolutley loaded. the sticker price?? Get ready.... $22000. Can't believe it huh. My 92 had everything but leather and Bose and it stickered at 17300. How times change!
