so i had nothing to do today, decided to remove my hatch, sand down the metal trim around it (got a few rust spots) and then repaint it. Got all done, looked great and went to put it back on, and it broke. Like the whole glass shattered, and now i'm screwed. How much am I looking at to get new glass for it, and can i use my original decklid? What alternatives do i have? man i'm pissed...

BTW,how did you manage to shatter the glass?? did you hit it on something cuz why would it just shatter??

 

I think it got hung up on something while i was lowering it in. I'm gonna check junkyards for another hatch, but there are like zero thirgens in my area, no idea why. I'm thinking about that lexon glass or whatever its called.

 

If you were closer, I will be having a hatch for sale in the near future.

 

anyone know the best (read cheepest) place to buy one of those lexon (sp?) hatches?
