About 6 months back Eastwood Co. came out with a real fire setup like this. I really like the real fire over the old style flames. So much more depth and so on. East wood has the stencils and DVD's , and of course all of the paint and air brushes, etc.

i think the set eastwood does is using auto air piant. auto air is a water based so its safe to shoot but it requires heat set dries slow and tends to run alot. and there transparent are not that clear. i like using the uros better hok gives a deaper range of colors and more option on customizing to your taste.

Looks pretty dang good man.

Personally seems a bit too busy for my taste, but definitely not bad for some of your first attempts.

A buddy of mine (the one whose WS6 hood was posted earlier in this thread) has been doing these flames like crazy for nearly a year now. I really like how his style creates some serious depth and keeps the lines nice and simple. He somehow uses the kandies to tint it back and give it a ton of highlights. You should really check out his work on the website I built for him recently. Might pick up some tips from checking out his style. Always good to look around and see what others are doing with this amazing style. Check out stryker-paint.com for galleries of his work.

I think he might even be a member here...dunno. He has a pretty nice 3rd Gen himself. Cardomain site for his 3rd Gen> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/482938/2

Here are a few samples of his work. Hope you like!

Sweet work...

Any update on the blue?
I've wanted real blue flames on the front of the Talon for a couple years now, but I won't waste the money or someone's talent since it's a daily driver and sees more than it's share of rocks and bugs. Maybe if it ever retires to "fun car only" status, which is possible.

I plan on painting the Camaro black eventually, and I think a set of real blue flame racing stripes or something along those lines would look amazing. That one isn't a daily driver.
