Ok carpet came in today! Back went in fine, now the front on the other hand is another story. I lined it up, but it seems like the carpet over the hump doesn't fit right, doesn't want to come all the way down! How did you do this? Did you trim anything from where the door sills go, or just cut where the seatbelt holes and seat bolts are? The center console cutout was too small too even fit over the e-brake! Any help is appreciated. Gave up for tonight, I'll continue after work tomorrow!

Mine the carpet over the hump went fine, the cut out over the console is very small.. that has to be enlarged to fit start making small cuts down the center behind the cut out till it fits then work from there so everything is lined up good. I didnt trim anything around the sills since mine fit in just right and the cutouts for the rear seat belt bolts were lined up right

Only trick I've learned, the hard way, is to not cut out any holes for anything until last. Just cut a slit and pull the carpet back to put over stuff, don't remove any pieces of the carpet. If you mess up some the carpet will go back together pretty good and you won't have a big hole to patch up.

I have a gray interior and ordered my carpet from a1 auto on ebay. They sell Auto Custom Carpet and it the driver pads and such are identical to the one I took out but there is not cut outs except the shifter. The problem is the color is off. It looks bluish-gray. I ordered Dove Gray. I am waiting to hear what they are going to do about it. Anyone else order gray carpet? I have an 89 Camaro.

It doesn't match the console or the door panels or even the parts of the old carpet that never received sunlight. I knew it look odd as soon as I took it out of the box was hopeful it would work but just has a sickly appearance in the car. Now I put some other gray interrior floor mats from a Windstar and a Town and Country in the car and they are darker than the door panels but still look good. My point is that any gray would have looked fine and doesn't have to be an exact match but I can't stand the tint. Several bystanders, my neigbor, and my wife agreed I should wait and get another carpet even though it puts my car out of commision another week. I was going to order from Classic Industries but it looks like the same carpet brand as 1a Auto. I will wait and see what they say.
