Part # for lower hinge roller bearing pin?
Uhhh....so apparently there are 4 pieces you need to truely rebuild the door. 2 for the top hinge, and 2 pins for the lower hinge. TDS' rebuild kit only comes with 3 of 4. Now Lon says the piece I am looking for doesn't affect the structural part of the door, but the one currently on the door is completely beat and needs to be replaced either way.
Anyone know the pin I am talking about? It's the bigger of the two and has the big roller bearing on it, Lon said that it's a door detent roller bearing pin or something and that GM still makes it. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? My body guy wants to finish the door and this thing is holding him up.

Thats the bugger, roller detent pin of some sort. GM hi perf mag even has an online rebuild article, they completely ignore the roller detent.
When I open/close my driver door, that roller bearing is cocked, it's not straight which leads me to believe it's completely beat. Or is it the fact that my door sags 1/3" that is making it cocked? Do I really need to replace it? Lon said it doesn't affect the "door sag" at all. Should I just tell my body guy to leave it? I wish I knew what the heck the roller thing did.

Yep, $10 at any auto store. I need to replace mine as well but I'm trying to get a hold of a spring compressor first.

The door spring compressor? TDS sells one for like 10$.
Wonderful...just what I love to do...sit at pep boys or autozone and listen to the idiot clerk ask me "make, model, year......"

Actually those pins are usually on the shelves with the assorted accessories: window cranks, random o-rings, odds and ends, etc.
Thanks for the tip on the compressor, if I ever order from them I'll pick one up.

it's only cocked because your door is out of alignment
all that pin does is give the door a little force behind it when you try to push it open, and it helps swing it shut...
it's also what gives your door that "sweet spot" that holds it open when it's about 3/4's of the way open.
look at it while you're opening and closing the door and it will dawn on you like "duuuuhhhh"

Yea, the curve on the metal piece that rides allow the roller makes sense how the door likes to hold in certain spots and such.
I'm gonna run to autozone/pep boys at lunch tomorrow, if I can get the pin off the shelf I'll replace it only because it's such a cheap part and the rest of the hinges are being rebuilt anyways. If I can't get one I won't sweat it though.
Thanks josh & disturbed
