Blueish/Green. Are they talking about the short fiber "GlassBondo?"

It wouldn't seem you could get a smooth finish with that stuff, what is your experience?

I've worked with a few fiberglass-reinforced body fillers.

One is referred to as "kitty hair" or "tiger hair" and has long fiberglass strands. This product is exceptionally strong, and is an absolute pain in the *** to work with. It's a nightmare to spread, but again, is super strong. It doesn't sand smooth and can't be used for finish work.

There's another fiberglass reinforced filler whose names escape me. It's very small, short fiberglass. It's stronger than standard filler, but not like the kitty hair. This stuff spreads and sands almost as well as normal filler though. Not quite up to snuff for finish work though.

Then there's regular filler.

It's called "duraglas" by USC.
Fiberglass filled filler.

How do you like that product?

My understanding was about the same as what was said. Super strong, then use normal "Pink" filler and spot puddy over the green filler for finish smoothness.

I like it very much. Never had a problem with it.

And I use it just as you described, plus a few coats of a high build primer, and then just block it down, seal and paint

I bought some of this stuff by mistake and i can not find anything else thats this ez to work with, the pink stuff is okay i guess but with the fibre glass and a composite hood scoop the combo is perfect, makes wet sanding better.

duraglas is awesome stuff. I'm using evercoat z-grip for body filler right now since it's finishing work, its really easy to sand and gets hard unlike bondo which i've heard never truly gets hard.

2k = 2 things mixed to use a material it's basically like say a primer and a catalyst, or filler and hardener.

Very good young grass hopper LOL yea evercoat and USC are my favorites. Also evercoat fillers are non-clog which means 'when mixed correctly the will not clog the sand paper which makes for better, more even and more productive sanding! also Duraglass is waterproof so it does don't hold water and make the metal rust. but if you use a rust converter "Mayhyde" (even if you don't see rust )then the dent you fix or spot you fill won't have that problem!

Z-Grip is great stuff. Holds to aluminum, galvanized, steel, you name it. I also like EZ sand by evercoat. Great for finnish blocking/ feathering, it sands with 220-320 paper no problem.

I also use duraglas its awsome stuff much stronger then your regular body filler. I use it over welds first before body filler its also water proof.
