dash panel doesn't want to come out...

...and i can't see why. took out the center console and what i thought was all the screws holding the dash in, but still doesn't want to come out. seems to be caught on something in the middle and looks like all the duct work wants to come along with it, but no joy. any ideas? i was taking it out to get to a certain component, but figured out another way. in the meantime, i figured i might as well clean it all up and clean the ducts while i'm this far with it, but for now, i'm as far as i can go. i just want to get it done and put back together so i can go pay lots of money to have someone else fix my car... thanks.

There isn't much holding the dash board in. There are bolts at the top and bottom corners. There is a metal bracket sandwiched in between the steering column so those bolts need to be loosened, then the screws for the speaker brackets and the brace in the center. The dash should come right out. The air vents are attached to the dash board. The dashboard was assembled and installed into the car as one peice at the factory.

that's what i thought, too, but i'll have to take another look at it tomorrow. the metal framework along the bottom stays in place, right? and that center brace just needs to be unscrewed from the top and bottom? it's all loose as heck but doesn't wanna pop out. it seems to be hung up on that ductwork, maybe i just need to tug a little harder. i'm just a little afraid of breaking something. i have all the wiring detached from it, so i know the harness isn't holding it in there.

I don't know if you got this under conrol, but there are a set of screws in the openings for the dash pad, I just took mine out with no problems.

keep looking cause you must of forgot something there. once all the bolts are off it does come right out. first time was a pain but by the fifth time it gets much easier
