Air intake sensors?

I have an 87' GTA Trans AM. And I want to remove my long *** intake and replace it with a K and N filter that attaches ruight to the engine. My question is are there any sensors on the intake tubes?

Do you mean the IAT? If so, it depends. My V6 89 had it on the intake pipe, my 86 TPI has it on the plenum.

yea your right its the iat. reason i ask is that mine is on the plenum as well but my intake pipe has the sensor there also. maybe it was off of a v6 car instead. it doesnt matter anyway since i made a cold air kit for it.
