HELP-Hood hinge question ASAP
HELP-Hood hinge question ASAP
Putting this car I bought back together. Replacing most of clip.
I got a hood from what I think was an 85 model for my 86. I didn't get the hinges because I figured mine were ok...Well, I think mine are bent. They will not attach to the hood. There is too much of a "curve" to them. (although they look the same)
So are ALL the hinges the same????
Guess I will be heading to the junkyard to get the ones that were on the hood, but wanna be sure...Thanks

AFAIK all the hinges are the same.
Not sure if firebird and camaro hinges are interchangable, but that shouldn't be your problem anyway.
Do you know in which direction the hood was damaged? If it was bent upwards badly (folded) then prolly the hinges are bent.
edit: profile info, or a signature line with info about your car will help others help you in the future.
