Roll Cage Question

I'm having an 8pt cage put in and theres no room for the bar between the armrest and the seats. Any Ideas? Any pics? Are you guys having to remove the armrest. I have 4th gen seats, is that the reason. Please help!!!!!

do a search, i cant remember who it was but someone heated up their rollbar and shut the door and it made the armrest mold to it.

There are companies that make bars to clear that...I think S&W makes them in a kit....

when the roll cage went into my boyfriends bird they bent the side bars at a slight angle inwards as to make the bar clear the arm rest and it looks really good that way. he has pix of the roll cage ...when he gets home i will have him post some.

hey solo, don't you find that uncomforatable?


I was thinkin of doing the same thing when I get a roll bar, but I always have my arm on the armrest.

no it is not uncomforatable i have rollcage pading and now the cage is the armrest

Well, i made mine from the competition engineering kit and have started down the path of cutting the armrest in half, and i am going to make a cutom billet one that just goes in a straight line from attachment point to attachment point.
