upper door panel trim
I'm trying to remove the black piece that runs along the upper door panel. I know your suppose to push towards the window and pull up. My problem is, the window is stuck up so theres not much room to push. Somehow I got the one near the hinges which is usually suppose to be last. I can't get the middle tab or end tab. Any ideas?
Thanks
edit: I read the tech article and other posts and none helped. The closest was another guy with the same problem, people told him to break out the window :-(

I had the same little problem. My sills were brittle and broke off when I pulled it out. But, to move on. It'a pretty simple, don't give up, Make sure your doorhandle panel is off and the screw is undone. the Screw is behind a fake panel between the door panel and the mirror panel ( Assuming it's the drivers side) it lurks just behind the arm rest. A small flat head will pop it right off.
Once you have that off and all the little plastic panel holder things are popped you can just inch it up, a little wiggling and scooting will get it out. I had to take the drivers side off with the window up and really had no problem. Just took a little manuvering. sometimes you can push the window forward just a little bit if it's loose and be able to get some leverage on it. but really, just pull the door panel out a bit and just wiggle and scoot.
I hope this helped

I actually just got it off. It was the passenger side. I just pushed as hard in and up as I could and it all came off at once. I got very lucky. The weird thing is instead of 3 plastic pieces holding it down there was 4. ?????????????? Thanks for the info though
