Racing Seats

I am going to buy Summit Racing seats for my 87 Camaro (same as APC's cheapo seats, and jegs, ya know the basic racing style) I was going to also buy the racing harness (shoulder and lap) and was wonder where I can bolt the harness to? Any Ideas? Anyone done this before?

You're supposed to bolt the shoulder straps to a roll bar behind the seat because if you bolt it to the floor and you're in an accident (lets hope not) you could easily injure your spine because of where the pressure is applied on your shoulders. I hope thats a good explanation.

Good luuck on bolting those seats in. I've been looking at them ,but don't think i want to go through the trouble of trying to make them work.

Popular Hot Rodding just put some in a second gen, and they said it sucked, the seat ends up sitting real high, no matter waht you do.

Oh, and unless you need 5 point harnesses for racing rules, go with stock.

To be track legal, you have to have the belts rewoven, or certified every two years, most people jsut buy new belts.

They are also a pain to get in and out of., not to mention you are straped in tight, the don't slip like stock belts, not big deal unless you want to change the radio station,. And if you keep them loose, you are going to get hurt worse than if you had stock belts.
