Trans Am taillight question.....

I found a nice set of I think 1987 Trans Am lenses. I know these would fit in a 1989 Firebird....but what about the lights? I know the turn signals in the Trans Am are set up with the brake lights, but the regular firebird isn't. Could I just switch the wiring harnesses or are they different? Thanks in advance!

At the very least you need to chop the sockets off the donor car. I did the TA tailight swap on my old formula. Was pretty easy once I figured out what wires went to what.

Do you have a chilton? Just look at the body wiring for each year car.
