First off, i think r-ic er is blocked out because it can be an insult word. (not using as one in this case mods) And second, a fourth gen will not fit because there is a hump on the passenger side that won't fit 3rd gen styles. Yes it's close but things will not line up correctly, i've tried and done my research, measured, and everything, i didn't find a way to make it fit and look stock.

The whole entire floor pan is shaped differently. Not to mention the rear carpet section doesnt fully cover the rear of the car like a thirdgen does, and the color wouldnt match to boot.

well, depends on what color your interior was before. If your interior is gray, then you might be able to pull it off. But i dont know about tan or any other color. And i hope we are talking about the same thing. oh, and i like marchmellows.

Watch out! Big brother is watching you.

That is exactly right. Normally I edit peoples post when they go around the filter, but I think I will leave this one. It explains the reason perfectly, and from a members point!

i bought black auto carpet from a hardware store (menards) for less than a dollar a square yard. cost me less than $20. By the way, everything yearone sells is overpriced. I think classic industries sells good carpet, precut and everything for around $100. But, if you want to do it cheap and dont care, look into a local hardware/carpet store.

i was going to do that but i was afraid that the bends and curves in the floor would buckle up...i have a classic ind. catalog I'll have to look at that...year one was good to me when i redone my 73 firebird is the only reason i checked with them...because i bought there before...the shipping is what kills you on that prefab carpet...

Why would you want to do it? What's so different about 4th gen carpet than 3rd gen carpet?

I'm not trying to be mean, i'm just ignorant.

Probably the part where you can find one still in nice shape used.
