and for the love of GM keep shane away from these boards and cars in general.. he's such a dumbf*ck that he'd get in a car, turn the key and it would flip over just sitting there.

thinking about this... what about a louvred bottom cover? It would improve the aerodynamics and still let some hot air out of the engine bay. Though maintenance would still be a PITA. Just a thought.... Supreme Member

It probably would, with no way for all that hot air to get out from under the hood.

As a young boy, my reaction was just the same when I first looked into a car's engine bay. You see, all my Matchbox & Hot Wheels cars had one-piece undersides...
Back to the original post - I think the use of the smiley indicates a degree of sarcasm.

This thread is rediculouse..........i mean are you people that think seeing the ground is a problem seriouse?!?!?!?!? I thought this thread was a joke!............Have you people ever EVER been to a car show, gathering, read a book about cars, seen them on TV, worked on a car.....anything at all.
You should know by now that older american cars dont have covers under them. LOCK IT UP

Just like Dennis i thought this thread was a joke, but i find its not. But i do wanna put my input in about the bottom engine cover....WHY?? What would really be the point of this, other than aerodynamics, and who here really needs any more aerodynamics, are you planning on going 200mph or what i just dont understand the point!
