Seat problem

My driver's seat back is stuck in one position, which is too far back to drive comfortably. Is there anyway to fix this myself or will it be better to replace the seat? Where can I get some decent used seats?

Go to Montana . Kidding, of course. However, the last time I took a trip through Idaho, I didn't see civilization for hours at a time! I'm unsure if the seat can be fixed or not, even so seats are plentiful in the bone yards.

I was thinking of finding some bucket seats out of any newer GM car if I can't find f-bodies. Will gran prix or grand am seats work? I'm pretty sure I'll have to drill new holes, but I'm ok with that. I'm also not worried about originality, just functionality.

I just got another idea, why can't you just swap the drivers seat for the passenger? The passenger seat works fine and I don't plan on ever riding in the car.

I wouldn't see why not--unless you have a Lear/Seigler Conteur seat. The normal seat should swap to the pass track even if you have electric on the driver's side.

id take out the seat and take a look at the tracks...

and a passenger seat could switch sides...but u gotta change the tracks...the front lever will be reversed as well as the side lever...

If u have no idea what i said just go out and look a tthe differences between the seats
