Shaved antenna or non power to power antenna swap
How hard would it be to swap a non-power antenna for a power antenna? What would be involved?
Or
At a body shop, how much do you think it would cost to get the antenna shaved? The car in question is a light blue color, and has a broken antenna. I hardly, if ever, use the radio. Always just have CDs in, so losing the antenna wouldnt pose an issue to me.
Thanks

Axle/Gears: bunch of 10 bolts how scary is that
Dont know about shaving the attenna but for a remote one all you need to do is run a wire to the remote wire on your head unit and supply a 12v power source then plug the antenna line to the back of your head unit. They sell universal ones everywhere you can think of along with third gen specific ones. Pretty easy to install besides the removal or the fender, running the wires, and pulling your radio

shaved here.
only way to go.
i have my antenna tucked in the power window/mirror track on the firewall when i had the dash out of the car.
ive seen where one was zip tied INSIDE the wheelwell, then the liner clipped on.
works like a champ in any case.
be creative.
i say get rid of the hole!
