Front GFX Piece Rubbing...What to do??

Ok guys since ive had my car (April 05) there has been a spot on each side of my car, right where the wheel well starts, the front spoiler/GFX is rubbing the body. It has removed alittle bit of the paint, and due to this there is minimal surface rust. After a few months of not doing anything, today me and my dad loosened the GFX up, and got ready to clean and touch up these 2 spots. First we used some cleaner wax and a fine brissle tooth brush. Next i put 2 coats of touchup on each spot. Im currently chillin inside my house waiting to do a 3rd/final coat but i am wondering if there is anything i can do that will make it so the front GFX piece doesnt rub against the body when we tighten it/reattach it. Is there any kind of silicone or paste or something that would go in and be unnoticable that may provide a buffer so that the GFX doesnt rub directly on the body. Any help would be appricaited.
