color sanding!!!

color sanding!!!

i just painted my car and i need to get the gloss out of it because the paint looks dull. badly enough that i have to try my best to fix it or re spray it. but how would i color sand it what do i use?? any experts out here?

i would sand the paint with 2000-3000 grit wet sand paper then use 3M polish and buffing wheel. just dont go to far and sand through the clear or it will have to be re-cleared.

The clear should be glossy before wetsand/buff (when properly sprayed). Sounds like you did not spray the coats of clear thick enough. Wetsand for buff as previosly mentioned grit paper. If you are going to re-spray with color/clear, use 600-800 grit.
