Problems Using Convertible Body Pieces on Coupes?

I've got an 87 IROC, and it recently got into a little fender bender becuase of some retard in an SUV who apparently thought my car was a foot shorter than it was.

Anyway, the front driver fender is trashed...instead of just having that fender taken care of, I want to do the 91-92 body style update (minus the wing) and get the entire car repainted (it needs it badly).

Someone in my town is parting out a 91 convertible, and I can get the front driver fender and the complete set of ground effects (minus the front piece) off the car. However, after doing a search, I've found some people saying that the coupe pieces must be modified to fit on a convertible (because the convertible pieces are smaller)....but no word of what must be done to fit a convertible piece on a coupe (or even if they will fit, being that you can make a coupe piece smaller, but can't make a convertible piece bigger).

I realize that I have to do a little work to get the 91-92 pieces to fit, I'm just wondering if trying to get the 91-92 convertible pieces to fit is going to be a hack job that's not worth it. Any help is appreciated guys.

The pieces you are looking at you say are on a convertible, so they have already been modified by ASC, all of the convertible pieces were coupe pieces that they cut and modified, so using coupe pieces and how it turns out is just up to the person doing the work.

I dont see why the fender and GFX wont swap? I dont even see why they would need to touch these on a convert.

If you need a 91/92 nose piece, let me know. I'm looking for an 85-90.

The fenders are modified at the bottom rear, and the rocker ground effect is changed, cut down a lot to clear the bracing they added.

The front ground effect doesnt get messed with though.
