Blue Camaros?
I just bought an 85 camaro and am planning to paint it soon after I get a few parts. I definitely want to paint it blue but I'm not sure exactly what color. If you've got a blue camaro please post a picture of your car, the name of the particular color and company that made it(PPG, dupont, etc.).

this is the ultra mettalic blue offered for Z28's in '91.
not sure exactly what company makes it but i want to say it was ppg. sure it wouldn't be that hard to find out if you were interested in it...if these pictures dont do it for you, just click my cardomain page there's alot more pictures there

and do you by any chance have any plans for getting the '91/'92 ground effects??? that would be a nice addition to an '85

If i ever paint up my car i think it would be the same blue as bluezee's and grab some of the 90s style GFX and maybe do a metalic silver on them. And maybe the same silver for some racing stripes.

Yup its a hard top. And I've already found a guy around here that said he'll sell me his GFX from his 92 RS but I'll still need a front bumper cover and front piece. BAD91CamaroRS, do you know how much your paint cost? That looks like about what I'm looking for.

Here is another look at the same paint color on a different car. Mine is fairly dull and needs to be painted.

mine does that and when it's in direct sunlight at different angles you get a bright baby blue color like this...

Here's mine. Not sure what the name of the color actually is but now that I've seen the car when its clean and in the daytime I kinda like it. BTW, is there a site that I can decode the VIN number to figure out all the info on my car?

Another look, the hood scoops are going to be painted trim black intead of the vinyl stickers. The headlight buckets will be trim black also. Then I'm going with a light metalic silver on the rocker trim so that it does not take away from the blue. I just dont know what to do about rims, $100 bucks each to refurbish these, chrome? brushed aluminum? I kind of like the Cragar 390's. You can see them at Les Schwab.com old school but pretty nice, but they're chrome also.

Haven't even seen it with sunlight but it flashes a lot of red or violet with some green. It's a pretty cool color.

I know 83 and 84 had the exact same color. I do think that mine (from Norwood plant) was a little lighter then others I have seen. This blue color has a problem with flaking off the primer with direct exposer to sun light. Mine did. The under panels (below the door edge guard) did not flake. I am hoping clear coat will solve this problem.
I love the color though.
