modded interior, ie supra dash??? idea inside

I know I read a few posts from you guys about liking the supra dash I believe? wraps aroudn the driver really nice, which it does. I like it too. however fitting is a sure issue. just wondering, why not make a fiberglass replica, widen/shorten the dash and make proper mounts for it on the back, if you want you could have it covered with some nice leather or whatever you want, textured paint as well. or have it painted to match the color of the car and or a combo of that with some leather features, it woudl look really nice on some. just an idea for you guys. and perhaps it will be me who does it, anyone got ideas on what might go wrong with this. or if this is a good idea?

things like the insturment pannel and HAV and radio area might be left blank, and youc ould install your stock ones? by cutting to shape, or install stock supra gauges, or aftermarket ones?

perhaps this woudl be a good opportunity if it turned out godo and lots of people liked how it looked to invest in making a mold and replicating these to sell.

cheers

Because 99% of the people on here are daydreamers that let their mind wander out of their 1. budget, 2. skills, 3. reality. Custom fiberglass molds cost ALOOOOOT of cash. Its alot of work to do it yourself as well. I give this my personal guarantee that no one from this site is going to do a custom mold to replicate the supra dash.

I figured the more serious orientated people ie kandied

maybe one day if I find a dash for cheap. I'm cheap thats the only way i'd do it. I aint horkin out 500 bucks or more for a dash and then all my time etc. if I found a wrecked one at a pick a part i'd buy it then take a long time to make itI mean the only thing I havent' re done now in the interior of my car now is the dash. and headliner..... so....

Personally I hate the idea but I'd absolutely love to see it done well. I respect any custom job that someone actually put time and effort into. Just get ready for the 20 people that will say "when's it ready I'll buy one!!!!" then have them disappear if it ever was created and sold.

I don't like the whole wrap around dash concept. Atleast not in our cars- although I suppose the KITT dash is rather amazing.
