Door Panel Rails
Mine won't stay on. It looked like whoever had the car before me just ripped it off and now the clips have nothing to hold on to. I'm not sure what that stuff is inside the door. Some kind of thick cardboard? Where can I get some? Or is there another way I can get them to stay on?

Easy fix, you can get the board at any upholstery shop or good marine store. Thats where I got mine, it's waterproof so it never warps. Get a template from somewhere. I went to the junkyark and bought a door panel. You only need one cause you just turn it around for the other side.
First, take the handle, and armrest off. Once thats done the key is to get a clip removal tool from a catalog like the "paddock" but I just use a large screwdriver and pry the clips away from the door. Go slow, try to stay in contact with the clips. Use needle nose pliers to pull them out easily so they stay with the panel and not the door. I think there are 11 clips. New clips can be bought at almost any autoparts store but expensive, like $6.00 for 4. If you want to get the panels at the junkyard and reupholster them you have to go another step.
You see where the top trim attaches to the door? four scalloped clips? Take your time and manipulate them from their latch. Once they're off you should have the trim and the door panel attached as one part. It's almost impossible to do at the junkyard if the windows are electric because the windows have to be down to get the trim off. Find a car with manual windows. I've done this about four times and have run into just about any problem you could run into.
You'd have to take the panels off no matter what even if you try to salvage what you have. I've even taken the panel, fitted it to the inside of the trim as best I could and then duct taped the hell out of it. Cut the crap away from there the quick bolts attach the panel to the trim so you can get that panel nice and snug and then go to town with the tape.
