The struts that hold the hood up on my IROC were shot so I replaced them but, the new ones keep popping off the the upper hinge pin when put under compression. The upper hinge pins that hold the strut to the hinge look like they're badly worn, no longer a good groove to firmly hold the strut attachement clip in place. Do these hinge pins commonly just wears out? Is it time for new hinges or can this pin be replaced? I havent found or seen a repair kit. If you have, please let me know.
